The Mount 1955 -56

Started by Caroline Bevan

My family and I lived in the Mound 1955-56, and will be thrilled to know whether it is still inhabited. My husband was in our Army stationed there. The Mound had a lawn tennis court and apple orchard. A small cottage was next door and the couple there tended the furnace and house kept for me. The library was 2 storeys deep, held numerous volumes and had a minstrel gallery. I have a photo taken of me and my husband sitting on that bench - please reply asap, I am so thrilled and eager to know what life is there now. We were told it was owned by a prof at the U of Edinburg - Betty Faust
