Searching for Clara Rose Sawyer

I am trying to trace my mothers side of my family and believe they stem from Long Crendon. My parents both died back in 2007 and it was a real shock for me to realise how little I know about them and how little family I have left back in good old Uk. I know my parents married at Long Crendon and visited the Parish church there hoping to find some connections to my mothers side of the family. The ground keeper of the church said he knew the family name well and thought they owned or worked a farm in the area. My mothers name was Sawyer. I was too later to get to the BMD place in Thames to search their records as I was only in Uk for 2 weeks and needed heaps more time to research this and I cannot do it on line. The grounds man suggested I try and advertise on a web site or in the local paper for information someone might remember the family.
I have also recently found out that I attended the wrong church and in fact my parents where married at the baptist church.
My Mother was Clara Rose Sawyer born 22nd February 1928 and I think her sister would have been juswt a few years either side of that date but 30 searches later I cannot find her.
