When it was set up in the late 1970s the objects of the Long Crendon Village Association (LCVA) were ‘…to carry on the business of a club by providing for the use of its members, the means of social intercourse, mutual helpfulness, mental and moral improvement, rational recreation and the other advantages of a club.’

Since then, for tax reasons, the charitable activities of the LCVA have been split from the business activities, so Long Crendon Community Social Club Ltd. (LCCSC) was set up.

LCVA is responsible for the Village Centre buildings and lettings. The other activities of the club are handled by the LCCSC.
